Ten years of “leaving it alone” and we decided it was time to clean it out. Probably took out a ton of sludge with the mini digger – unfortunately in the process of doing this we managed to puncture the liner so we had to lay a new one. At least it’s all set for the coming spring.

1st March, spring. We have very friendly frogs back in the pond. Had thought it might take a couple of years before they returned. I guess the cleanup was completed to their satisfaction.

After a few months of settling down we have a new pond.
