One project that was nearly left too late was the polly tunnel. When we bought the house the poly tunnel was effectively closed down with only a mature vine producing lots of grapes. Aside from the vine it was home to adders and slow worms so it was always interesting to pop in and have a look to see them. But the elements were not kind to the tunnel and after ten years of focus on the house it was time to rescue it.

So this is what it looked like when we started. Actually you can’t really see how ripped the polythene was at the front, not much was holding it together.

….and it wasn’t much better inside, the doors were just hanging in there.

Let the work begin….

Then it was finished, only took a week or so in the end.
